The first Stak-Kit product, the wheelset carrier, was invented to protect and support  rail vehicle wheelsets during transport and storage.  Wheelset carriers can be stacked 4 units high, releasing valuable real-estate in the depot.

They are adaptable for gearbox and axle management.

The Stak-Kit range has already been expanded to cover bogie stands, wheel disc carriers, axle carriers and air conditioning module stands.

Solutions

The York and Sheffield hinges allow lighting and other types of columns up to 6 metres in height to be retro-fitted with a cost-effective hinge that allows one man to maintain the light safely without the need for ladders or scissor lifts.

The unique flexible rotational fitting capabilities mean the column can be raised and lowered in a convenient direction to miss fixed obstacles such as trees and bushes etc

The York and Sheffield hinges can be installed in approximately 30 minutes, minimizing impact on Public Access and safety, or supplied fitted to new columns.

These hinges can save users up to £600 per column, taking into account the costs of closing roads/paths, excavation and new column costs.
